Pamela Ritter has over 20 years of experience with providing legal counsel and advice to community, regional and national financial institutions. She specializes in banking law, creditors’ rights and commercial real estate.
Considered an expert in the financial industry, she is sought out for her assistance with structuring, negotiating and documenting commercial loans; loan modifications; workout resolutions for troubled loans and other non-performing financial assets, including litigation of delinquent and defaulted commercial loans and mortgages. Ms. Ritter has extensive experience litigating collection, real estate, fraudulent conveyance and transfer actions in both state and federal courts.
- Represents secured lenders with loan defaults, workout and out-of-court restructuring, liquidations, collections, foreclosures, creditor rights and bankruptcy.
- Prepares real and personal property loan and lease documentation for commercial developers and financial institutions including resolving title issues and encumbered real estate problems.
- Counsels lenders on the compliance of a broad range of Financial Service Laws and Regulations.
- Advises financial institutions on Small Business Administration (SBA) and construction loans providing both front-end and back-end loan origination documentation.
Ms. Ritter serves on the board of New Horizons, a nationally recognized, private, not-for-profit rehabilitation agency that has been providing quality vocational training and job placement in Michigan since 1964.
An avid bicyclist, she actively supports the Make A Wish Foundation by participating in their annual Wish A Mile Ride fundraiser every year. She is also a supporter of the American Cancer Society and the Making Strides Event in Detroit.
Ms. Ritter frequently speaks on issues related to creditors’ rights, insolvency, foreclosure and workout strategies.
